The original entryway was inscribed "The American Tract Society Building" and flanked by sculptures of angels.
The building was owned for a while by Pace University. It is now residential, except for ground floor retail space.
Two terra cotta angels support the cornice on the Nassau Street facade - helped by lots of iron straps.
