A three-story limestone base is the foundation for a brick and terra cotta shaft.

The "cowcatcher" store was an owner-ordered add-on.

The four-story "NEW YORKER" sign is the building's most prominent feature.

Modest Art Deco accents at the setbacks are the extent of the exterior decoration.
