The original entryway was inscribed "The American Tract Society Building" and flanked by sculptures of angels.
The building was owned for a while by Pace University. It is now residential, except for ground floor retail space.
Two terra cotta angels support the cornice on the Nassau Street facade - helped by lots of iron straps.
View down Spruce Street. New York by Gehry towers behind, the former New York Times Building stands in front of the American Tract Society Building.
